What we collect

Two forms on this site collect information. The parish registration form asks for your name, email address, telephone number, date of birth and home address. The contact form asks for your name, email address and your message.

Registering children for Religious Education necessarily involves information about minors — their names, ages, and the sacraments they have received. We treat that information with particular care.

We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell, rent or trade anything you give us. Ever.

Why we collect it

So that the parish office can answer you, welcome you properly, prepare sacramental records, and reach you about the programs you have asked to join. Nothing more.

Who can see it

Parish staff who need it to do their work — the parish office, and the catechists responsible for a program your child is enrolled in. Submissions are stored in the parish website system, which requires a login; they are not visible to the public.

Online giving is handled by our provider, OSV Hub, on their own systems. Card details are never entered on this site and the parish never sees them.

How long we keep it

Contact-form messages are kept while we are helping you and are cleared periodically afterwards. Parish registration and sacramental records are kept permanently — that is what a parish register is, and it is how we can issue your baptismal or marriage certificate decades from now.

Correcting or removing your information

Call the parish office at (305) 932-3560 or write to info@stlawrencemiami.org and ask. We will correct anything that is wrong, and we will remove what we are able to remove — sacramental registers are a permanent record of the Church and cannot be erased, but everything else can.

Photographs

We sometimes publish photographs of parish life. If you or your child appears in a photograph on this site or our social media and you would rather not, tell the parish office and we will take it down.
